The fourth annual Dragons on the Foss
race for
corporate teams as an event of the Maritime Fest. The Maritime Fest is a celebration of the
working waterway that helped build Tacoma. The dragon boat races draw
thousands of spectators each year. Maritime Fest will be held on September
20-21, 2003. The corporate dragon boat challenge will be held on
Saturday, September 20th. You can download the 2003
team registration package.

| The venue site is at Thea Foss
Park on the Foss
Waterway in Tacoma, Washington. The venue site can accommodate up to 16 crews. Races will be in BuK racing boats (not pictured here).
Practices can be scheduled starting approximately 60 days prior to the
event. |

The races are exciting for landlubbers and
paddlers alike. Traditional dragon dancing, the eye-opening ceremony, and
the blessing of the event promote an appreciation for the Chinese roots
and multicultural nature of dragon boat racing |
| The registration fee allows
twenty paddlers, their drummer, and team manager access to four two-hour practices,
coaching, a steersman, and all equipment. You can save your place for 2003 now
by depositing $100, which holds a space
for your crew until you schedule your first practice. Download the
