Tacoma is all about community! The Rainier Dragon Boat Festival wouldn’t happen without our generous sponsors. In return, we provide your organization with great opportunities to get your name out to the thousands of paddlers and spectators who participate in the festival. We have sponsorship levels from $50 to $5,000.
The one-day festival is held at Thea’s Park and can accommodate up to 40 community and competitive teams – as many as 880 individual paddlers. Sponsor contributions help support the festival along with the club’s year-round training and racing.

Platinum Sponsor $5,000
- Identified as presenting sponsor of the event (e.g. “presented by …”)
- Corporate name/logo on all event materials, including media advertisements and press releases
- Logo on the event website above all other logos with a link back to the sponsor site for three months
- Public address announcements during the event
- Sponsor representative can participate in the opening ceremony
- Sponsor banner at the event
- Sponsor distribution of product or literature, including on-site sampling
- Right to conduct promotions in conjunction with the event
- Named race division (i.e., finals)
- Five teams free entered into the Community Race Division
Gold Sponsor $3,000
- Identified as a major sponsor of the event (e.g. “supported by …”)
- Corporate name/logo on all event materials, including media advertisements and press releases.
- Logo on the event website with a link back to the sponsor site for three months.
- Public address announcements during the event.
- Sponsor banner at the event.
- Sponsor distribution of product or literature, including on-site sampling.
- Right to conduct promotions in conjunction with the event.
- Named race division (i.e. semifinals)
- Three teams free entered into the Community Race Division.
Silver Sponsor $2,000
- Identified as a sponsor of the event.
- Corporate name/logo on all event materials, including media advertisements and press releases.
- Logo on the event website.
- Public address announcements during the event.
- Two teams free entered into the Community Race Division.
Bronze Sponsor $1,000
- Identified as a sponsor of the event.
- Corporate name/logo on all event materials, including media advertisements and press releases.
- Logo on the event website.
- Public address announcements during the event.
- Two hours recreational or team-building dragon boating session for up to 18 participants. This includes .5 hours on land and 1.5 hours on the water.
